Kelly Hind is a Partner at Hewitts and head of the New Build Property Team. She has extensive experience of all aspects of property work including shared ownership, help to buy, right to buy, new build and leasehold transactions.

Megan Hamilton is a Partner at Hewitts, having joined the firm in 2017 when she qualified as a solicitor. She started her career in law working in Local Government at Durham County Council, during which time she worked in both the Children and Adult Services Department on a range of matters including public law proceedings.

Megan specialises in children and family cases involving the Local Authority. She is an accredited member of the Law Society’s Children Panel which recognises her specialism and allows her to represent children in such cases.

Kelly qualified as a Solicitor in 2004 and joined Hewitts in 2017.  She has specialised in Family Law for more than 20 years and works from our office in Stockton.  She is a Resolution Accredited Specialist Family Lawyer in the areas of Domestic Abuse and Private Children Law and is Collaboratively trained.  She has extensive specialist knowledge in Financial Matters upon Divorce, including high value Financial Remedy cases involving business assets and property.  She offers a calm and pragmatic approach.

Kelly is passionate about assisting and supporting those who have suffered domestic abuse and has significant experience in the process of obtaining injunctive relief, giving advice and support within that sphere.

Sarah qualified as a Solicitor in 2013 and joined Hewitts in 2022. She specialises in Private Client work at the Stockton office.

Sarah is a member of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP) which is a global professional body comprising specialist lawyers, accountants, trustees and other practitioners with recognised levels of expertise and experience. In 2014 she became a a full member of STEP after qualifying as a Trust & Estate Practitioner.

She is also a Member of the Association of Lifetime Lawyers which is an organisation offering additional support and assistance to older and vulnerable people.

Hollie joined Hewitts in February 2020 as a Paralegal and qualified as a Solicitor in December 2022, progessing to an Associate Solicitor in 2026.

Hollie works in the Private Client department specialising in all matters involving Wills and Probate, including the Administration of Estates, Lasting Powers of Attorney and the Court of Protection.  She works within our Bishop Auckland and Stockton offices.

Hollie is also a Dementia Friend and an Accredited Lifetime Lawyer, which is recognised as a national accreditation for her expertise in legal support for older and vulnerable clients, their families and carers. The accreditation is awarded by The Association of Lifetime Lawyers, the organisation which sets the standard for the highest quality legal advice in specialist areas, such as Wills, Powers of Attorney and inheritance tax.

Brogan joined the firm in 2020 and qualified as a Solicitor in February 2024. Brogan specialises in children and family cases involving the Local Authority.

Bethany joined Hewitts in 2021 and started her training contract with the firm in July 2022. She qualified as a solicitor in July 2024.  She is based in the Stockton office within the New Build Property Team.

Emma joined the firm at the start of 2021 and is currently working within our residential property team. She is experienced in all aspects of conveyancing transactions dealing with matters from inception through to completion, including Stamp Duty Land Tax procedures and post completion formalities. Emma is studying to become Licenced Conveyancer and currently holds a level 4 Diploma in Conveyancing Law & Practice.

Rhys joined Hewitts’ Graduate Law Programme in 2025 after completing his Law Degree at the University of Sussex. He is currently working as a Paralegal within the Public Family team, advising and represent clients in public family matters.

Jannine is part of the residential property team working at the Stockton office. She specialises in new build transactions.

Emma joined Hewitts in 2007. She is a Conveyancing Assistant working in our Residential and Estate conveyancing department at the Stockton office specialising in post-completion matters.
