Cheques must be made payable to Hewitts. It can take over 10 working days for payment by cheque to clear.
To make an online card payment, you will need your matter reference number. Your matter reference number will be in this format: 123456/1 and can be found on your letter of engagement, or correspondence from us.
Please quote your matter reference number when making your payment so that we can allocate the money against your bill easily and quickly. All payments must be in GBP Sterling and may take up to 2 working days to clear into our account.
We reserve the right to decline any online payment. Please do not attempt to pay any of the unaccepted payments listed above as they will be rejected will result in delays to your matter.

We use the services of Elavon to process your payment securely. Payments are processed using the highest security standards to encrypt your details and keep your personal data safe. When you click to pay by card you will be redirected to Elavon’s payment gateway where your payment will be taken. You will receive an immediate email confirmation following your successful payment.
Scams are common and transactions involving Solicitors are regularly targeted. We will never notify you of a change to our bank details by email. Please contact us immediately by telephone if you receive an email from us that you think is suspicious. For payments we are to make to you, we will not accept details of your bank account by email.
