Established in 1936, the National House Building Council (NHBC) sets standards for its registered house builders and works to improve the construction quality of the homes they build. This is ultimately for the benefit of homeowners.
We ensure that when buying a new home that NHBC (or similar) is in place.
NHBC can provide;
- Deposit protection between exchange and completion.
- Protection if there is damage to your house because the builder failed to build certain parts to NHBC requirements.
- Insurance in respect of contaminated land.
- Some policies also provide cover for failing to comply with building regulations.
