Post COVID 19: Courts re-opening

Hewitts > All News > Post COVID 19: Courts re-opening

The Civil Courts in England and Wales that deal with dispute resolution, debt recovery and other civil disputes are slowly re-opening.  As a result of pandemic related Court closures, the Court Service now has a significant backlog in dealing with disputes.  The Civil Court route is currently not the most efficient way of dealing with unresolved disputes over payments of accounts and disputed fees for work carried out in business.

If your matter is already in the Court system and on hold, it is still possible to resolve the dispute by negotiation and avoid the continuing delay resulting from the Court shut down.

At Hewitts we can offer you advice on how to solve these matters outside of the Court system and deal effectively with the resolution of disputes.
