The benefits of making a Will

There are many benefits of making a Will such as appointing Executors – people who you trust to administer your estate when you pass, naming guardians of any minor children and of course naming your beneficiaries. But what about who has the right to access your Will on your death?

When you make a Will with us we will store it for you. Once we are notified of your death and evidence provided, we will ensure the Will is only discussed and released to the Executors (the people responsible for administering your estate). This ensures that your Will does not fall into the wrong hands, is misplaced or destroyed on your death, all of which can cause complications to your estate.

At Hewitts Solicitors, we do not charge any fees’ for storage of your Will and our Probate Team have strict rules and procedures regarding the release of your Will. Should you wish to discuss the benefits of making a Will further with us, please do not hesitate to contact our Probate Department who will be able to address any queries.
